Building
Trade & Industry is the UK's leading monthly
tabloid publication serving the building and construction

KHL
GROUP
The
KHL Group is a publisher of business-to-business
trade magazines and. a producer and distributor of
other media, including books and reference sources.
Established in 1989, the company currently produces
five international magazines, various internet sites,
a series of books, and a range of directories.
Construction
Europe was established in 1989 and is the
only pan-European construction magazine in the region.
Subjects covered in the monthly magazine include;
news, business, finance, equipment, and much more.
International
Cranes, launched in 1992, is a magazine directed
at the international crane industry - specifically
users and buyers. The monthly title has a circulation
of around 17,000 copies.
Access
International is the official magazine of
the access industry's producers' association. It was
first introduced in 1994 as a quarterly publication.
Since then its frequency has increased to ten times
a year.
Demolition
& Recycling International is a recent
addition to the KHL stable. Launched in April
1999, four issues were published that year, with six
planned for 2000. The international circulation is
sent to around 7,000 people worldwide.
European
Rental News is the latest addition to the
KHL range of magazines and was first published
in April 2000. The magazine is aimed at the rapidly
expanding rental market in Europe.
Other
major activities: Bookshop - KHL has an extensive
bookshop selling over 140 construction-related titles;
Marketing services - list rental, research,
direct mail; Intemet the company currently
operates four Web Sites; Directories - there
are currently five annual directories produced by
KHL; Exhibitions - the company is
the joint organiser of two exhibitions (each with
conferences). APEX (for the access equipment
industry) is held every two years in Maastricht as
is IDREX (for the demolition sector). The
next events will be held in September 2000 - IDREX
for the first time.
REED
CONSTRUCTION
Part
of Reed Business Information, Reed Construction
has four products serving the information needs of
the UK construction industry. Reed Construction
incorporates:
Contract
Journal, Plant Managers Journal, SED (Site Equipment
Demonstration) and the Reed Construction Database.
Contract
Journal is the weekly for the UK construction
industry with an unrivalled ABC profile audited circulation
to key industry decision makers. Distributed every
Wednesday, Contract Journal is first with
the week's news, contract information, jobs and essential
business information.
Plant
Managers Journal is the group's specialist
monthly plant and equipment title. Every issue provides
its readers with the latest product information, equipment
tests, operator and plant hirer features. As with
Contract Journal, its circulation is profile
audited by the ABC, providing advertisers with a guarantee
of the quality as well as the quantity of its circulation.
SED
is the UK's largest all action construction show,
the National Event for Construction. Every year
SED features plant demonstrations on a working
site enabling visitors to see the latest kit in action,
to try it out for themselves and, of course, to buy
it. With over 370 exhibitors on site you can see everything
from hand tools to tower cranes. SED's attendance
reached 15,965 in 1999 (ABC Profile Certificate of
Attendance).
The
Reed Construction Database incorporates
the circulations of Contract Journal and
Plant Managers Journal and the visitor list of
SED. This database contains named individuals
categorised by job title, company size, purchasing
responsibility and various other demographic data
and is available for direct mail/database marketing
purposes.
