NEW MEMBER PROFILE
FAIRPORT CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT LTD

As from 1 January 2000, Warsop Metrix officially changed its trading name to Fairport Construction Equipment Ltd. Their new company name, logo and corporate colour were launched at Hirex earlier this year.

The new name reflects the strength of the Fairport Group and will give both customers and suppliers a higher level of confidence as the company moves into the new millennium.

The hydraulic Power Packs and Breakers, known as the Falcon and 
Pacebraker range have been extensively revised and it is intended to expand this range in the future.

MEi ANNOUNCES PRODUCT RANGE EXPANSION UNDER SAINT GOBAIN OWNERSHIP

MEi, formerly Morganite Electronic Instruments, manufacturer of the market-leading MicroLoad and UniLoad on-board weighing systems, has announced plans for expansion of its load indication product range under the new ownership of the multinational Saint Gobain Group of Companies.

As.part of the specialist detectors and instrumentation activity of the group, MEi offers advanced load sensing, data logging and load control systems for wheeled loaders, lift trucks and other types of mobile plant.

The MEi brand will be maintained under Saint Gobain, and the existing products and service support will continue as before. New developments will be put in place to expand the range and enhance the powerful features offered by current systems. The MEi load indication products will form part of the detectors activity which produces a range of precision sensors and instrumention for pressure and radiation measurement.

KHL GROUP

The KHL Group is a publisher of business-to-business trade magazines and. a producer and distributor of other media, including books and reference sources. Established in 1989, the company currently produces five international magazines, various internet sites, a series of books, and a range of directories.

Construction Europe was established in 1989 and is the only pan-European construction magazine in the region. Subjects covered in the monthly magazine include; news, business, finance, equipment, and much more.

International Cranes, launched in 1992, is a magazine directed at the international crane industry - specifically users and buyers. The monthly title has a circulation of around 17,000 copies.

Access International is the official magazine of the access industry's producers' association. It was first introduced in 1994 as a quarterly publication. Since then its frequency has increased to ten times a year.

Demolition & Recycling International is a recent addition to the KHL stable. Launched in April 1999, four issues were published that year, with six planned for 2000. The international circulation is sent to around 7,000 people worldwide.

European Rental News is the latest addition to the KHL range of magazines and was first published in April 2000. The magazine is aimed at the rapidly expanding rental market in Europe.
