PROLEC STRENGTHENS POSITION IN SCANDINAVIA

Poole based Prolec Ltd, one of Europe's leading designers and manufacturers of rated capacity indicators, monitoring systems and weighing equipment for the construction and construction related industries, has recently appointed Gundersen & Loken Instrumenter A/S as their sole distributor in Norway.

Bente Gundersen and Jan Floberg, the company's Managing Directors, came to Bauma last year, looking for construction equipment monitoring systems that they could sell in Norway. When they arrived at the Prolec stand, they knew they had found the right supplier, and following intensive discussions, Gundersen & Loken Instrumenter A/S were appointed Prolec distributors for Norway.

As Terry Hawthorn, Prolec 's General Manager explained, "this appointment has reaped immediate dividends for Prolec, with 11 systems being sold in the first three months of the agreement".

Bente Gundersen and Jan Floberg are both delighted with their new relationship with Prolec and expect to obtain significant market share in Norway with the extensive range of products available, in particular the Level-X and Digmaster grade monitoring systems that can be linked to both laser and GPS references respectively.

Jan Floberg joined Gundersen & Loken Instrumenter A/S eighteen months ago, and the two joint Managing Directors have a wealth of experience within the electronic instrumentation market between them. Currently they are working with Prolec in the development of a drilling rig depth and position monitoring system for use on excavators in borehole drilling applications.

Jan Floberg and Bente Gundersen are the Joint Managing Directors of Gundersen & Loken. Erik Floberg and Andre Laskerud are engineering graduates working on an advanced engineering project that uses Prolec's CANbus technology.
