THREE
GOOD REASONS TO BOOK YOUR SPACE The CEA will again be sponsoring the British Group at Intermat 2003. Trade Partners UK have awarded SESA grant support of up to £2,300 to eligible British companies exhibiting at Intermat. As part of the British Group Pavilion you will benefit from: One: Reduced Stand Space and Construction Rates Two: Discounted Organiser's Registration Fees - €200 compared to €510 Three: If you pay your deposit before 31 March 2002, a 7% discount on space rates The British Pavilion will again be located in an excellent position at the very front of Hall 6. The Pavilion shell scheme, providing fitted turnkey stands, will be built by MEPLAN, who built our stands at Bauma 2001. In addition, the earlier you book the greater your chances of having a corner stand at no extra cost. Corner stands are allocated on a strictly first come first served basis, subject to them fitting in with the overall stand plan. To secure your stand - and receive your 7% space discount - please ask for a CEA application form and SESA form and prospectus and return it to the CEA, with full payment of your deposit (€60 per sqm), registration fee and Intermat insurance (note: this is an insurance charge levied by the Intermat organisers and NOT the Insurex insurance) to arrive no later than 31 March 2002. Any applications received after this date will be charged at the full space rate as listed in the prospectus. Full details of the exhibition can be found on www.intermat.fr. If you do not wish to exhibit as part of the British Pavilion in Hall 6 you MUST book your space directly with the organisers. The CEA can still help you build your stand at reasonable rates - below those quoted by the organisers, and get you a SESA grant. For Intermat queries after 13 March please e-mail the CEA at Conexpo: ceaconexpo@yahoo.co.uk..
AND
A number of companies, including major OEMs, have expressed an interest in exhibiting at these exciting new shows. Both China and India have huge potential for exporters of construction equipment with massive infrastructure improvement and renewal programmes underway. Although there is no SESA support, this is not normally given to new shows, we are hopeful that some form of subsidy may be forthcoming. Both shows are organised by Messe Munich - the Bauma people - in conjunction with local organisers. We understand that there is significant interest in the shows from our European partners in the Committee for European Construction Equipment and there will be a large contingent of German exhibitors. Subject to sufficient interest, the CEA will present a British Company Information Centre at both shows, providing display facilities, Internet access (subject to local conditions), back up and stand building assistance for exhibitors. If you have not yet received brochures for these shows and are interested in exhibiting please contact the UK agents - Pattern Ltd - Tel: +44 (0)20 8940 4625.
THREE MAJOR EXHIBITIONS CONFIRMED FOR 2002 APEX, RENTEX, IDREX 12-14 September 2002 : Maastricht, The Netherlands
www.apexshow.com / www.rentexshow.com / www.idrexshow.com Three major exhibitions, including one completely new event, have been confirmed for 2002. The new event, RentEX, is for Europe’s fast-growing equipment rental sector, while IDREX 2002, aimed at the demolition and recycling sector, is being held for the second time and APEX 2002, the successful show for the access equipment industry, is being held for the fourth time. All three events will be held from 12-14 September 2002 in Maastricht, The Netherlands and will be sponsored by KHL magazines; Access International, Demolition & Recycling International and European Rental News. They are being co-ordinated by Industrial Promotions International (IPI). Each event also has the official support of the top business-to-business magazines in their individual sectors. The APEX show will again be sponsored by the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF). If exhibitor and visitor response to APEX 2001 are anything to go by, the 2002 exhibition is likely to break all visitor and exhibitor records. European Rental News publisher, James King, said of RentEX, "the rental business in Europe has expanded at an alarming rate over recent years and it looks as if the phenomenal growth is set to continue. RentEX will provide the Europe-wide industry with a focus point where all the latest equipment, techniques, and management methods will be on show". As far as IDREX is concerned, event organisers are certainly looking to build on the success and visitor quality of the last event, held in 2000. IDREX 2002 is expected to attract a large number of exhibitors, including many of the world’s leading manufacturers of demolition and recycling equipment. For details on

information contact: In an ever-changing world of construction equipment one thing remains the same: dealers are the key to a successful distribution strategy. Condex is organised by the Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) in the USA and offers manufacturers a unique opportunity to meet key American distributors. Condex brings you face-to-face with top dealership executives - 3,500 decision makers (dealership owners, chief executives, presidents, senior managers, etc) are expected to attend. Research figures show that North America is the largest global market for construction equipment and 70% of all equipment sales in the USA are made through AED members. Trade Partners SESA support is available of up to £2,300. If you wish to exhibit contact the CEA exhibitions team.
CEA INFORMATION CENTRE DISPLAY PACKAGE Companies not exhibiting at any of the shows mentioned can take advantage of the enhanced display package at the CEA British Group Information Centre. The package offers graphic and literature display areas, a full post event report and a contact database of enquiries from visitors to the stand. The Information Centre may also be used as a meeting point, to access the Internet or just to call in and have a break - light refreshments available. The service provides an excellent, cost-effective way of assessing initial market interest without all the overheads of exhibiting.
