Construction Equipment Association Industry Dinner
a case for more recognition and support for our sector
The CEA’s Management Council met with a number of very senior civil servants from both BIS and UK Trade & Investment and invited industry guests for a pre-conference dinner at the City Inn on 16 March. The dinner provided a unique opportunity for the CEA to put across the issues and challenges facing our sector to the civil servants who implement, and help formulate government policy. We were able to highlight the size and value of the UK’s construction equipment industry – and request that it be given more government assistance and attention, in line with the wider automotive sector. The CEA is grateful to those civil servants who attended – and remind them that they will be hearing from us on a regular basis! |
