The CESAR Scheme
The CEA is acting as lead organisation for the CESAR plant registration scheme at the invitation of the Plant Theft Action Group
(PTAG) – and Datatag is the service provider. Registration, combined with Datatag's technology, both deters theft and makes recovery of stolen plant more certain. CESAR is a voluntary scheme and manufacturers can elect to fit the CESAR kit as standard or as an option for their customers. Alternatively, they may nominate their approved distributors to undertake the fitting on new equipment and that already in operation.

CESAR Review Meeting
The CESAR Review Meeting works to develop and improve the CESAR scheme. The statistics are now beginning to show clear advantages to joining the scheme. Committee members include the Police, insurers, CEA manufacturers and staff, the scheme providers, Datatag and the AEA (Agricultural Engineers Association). The last meeting, held at Perkins, discussed clearer procedures and expansion of the scheme in the UK and Europe.
