Good results from Trade Minister meeting: last week CEA President Paul Ross was granted an exclusive meeting with Trade Minister, the Rt Hon. Ian McCartney MP. This was part of the CEA drive to raise the profile of the construction equipment industry - and make Government aware of the issues facing our sector. The wide-ranging discussions included a review of the threats and opportunities posed by developing markets. The Minister also raised the prospect of a high level visit to the British Group at Bauma, in Munich - and his attendance at the CEA's Leading the Way conference in May. Paul Ross states, "I am confident that this marks the start of a closer working relationship between government and our industry".
