The event will be moderated by the BBC Business Correspondent, Greg Wood. Full programme attached. Reserve your place NOW – email lucy@aslnorth.co.uk.

Stop Press – additional speaker joins CEA Conference menu!
We are delighted to announce that Gilbert Toppin, the new Chief Executive Officer of the EEF, will present a session on the EEF Economic Forecast – the Challenges ahead, at the CEA Conference.

Gilbert took on the leadership of the EEF at a critical time as it seeks to influence the environment for a revitalised manufacturing sector facing unprecedented global challenge through competition and climate change. The EEF seeks to maintain and develop its strong position representing the interests of the UK’s manufacturing sector to government at all levels.

Gilbert is an engineer and a business services specialist who has held a succession of senior roles in the consulting industry, including Chief Operating Officer for European Consulting at Deloitte, where he was a senior partner and board member. Gilbert’s career has had a particular focus on providing solutions for the manufacturing and engineering sectors, where he has delivered a range of large infrastructure projects.

India Reception – now at One Great George Street
Invitations to the Ingredients for Success Conference mentioned that our post conference reception would be held at the Indian High Commission in Aldwych. Unfortunately, a heightened security level at the High Commission has resulted in the cancellation of all events there. Consequently the reception will now take place in the Great Hall at One Great George Street. Delegates can:
  • Have a parting drink.
  • Take Tiffin with our guests, including representatives from the Indian High Commission and the UK India Business Council.
  • Find out more about the Indian market.
  • Find out about the CEA's India Knowledge Base initiative.
  • Re-visit the Showcase exhibition displays.

The Reception will be held from 16.15 to 17.15 hrs on 10 April. Please e-mail lucy@aslnorth.co.uk to confirm your place – no extra charge to conference attendees.
